We’re changing our name; NaturalGasNOW is transitioning to Energy Security and Freedom. We’re also changing our location to:

Our Sunday newsletter readers already know about this but let me bring the rest of you up to date. We have been reposting NaturalGasNOW material to a new site on Substack. The new site is Energy Security and Freedom and you can find it and subscribe for free at energysecurityfreedom.substack.com. We’ll soon accept paying subscriptions but you’ll always be able to get our written material for free, too, if you’d like.
Why are we changing the title? Because we don’t write strictly about natural gas, although that is our primary focus. We also post on other energy sources, the climate scam, free speech, foundations and corporatism that are destroying America and, of course, energy security and freedom in general. Energy Security and Freedom better encompasses what we already do, in other words, and doesn’t limit us to natural gas promotion, although it remains absolutely fundamental to us and all we do.
Why are we changing our location on the web? Because WordPress, the program we have used for our blog for a decade has become too buggy, nerdy and unreliable. Not a week goes by that we are not confronted by a new technical problem with WordPress and there are few places to go for help. Frankly, we’re just tired of dealing with plug-ins, SEO, widgets and the like. Substack is for those who just want to communicate and do it easily.
Substack is its own network of sorts and provides certain features such as automatically notifying subscribers of new posts. It’s simple and effective with a lot of opportunities for engagement. We’ll still promote our posts in the usual places but, as of October 1, we will discontinue our Sunday newsletter. We will also stop posting new material on NaturalGasNOW, although all the 6,100+ existing posts will remain on the site until we find a way to move them over or archive them someplace.
What does this mean for you? It means it’s time to sign up for Energy Security and Freedom. You can do so from within any post. Do it now!
