Flatten the Curve? Again? Yes, Control Is What They Want!

“Flatten the curve” is a bad reminder of the disaster that was the government COVID response. Now, the ruling class wants to do it again with energy lockdowns.
Europe is facing an energy crisis of its own making. State after state surrendered its power to a European Parliament that is really nothing more than a bureaucracy indebted to the ideas of the elites at World Economic Forum. Those ideas include dispensing with fossil fuels to open up the worlds’s greatest grifting opportunity ever; trillions just waiting to be stolen by those same elites. The strategy? Simple. Ratchet down fossil fuels and nuclear as fast as possible to fight a mythical global warming threat while emptying the public treasuries for green scams and, in the background, quietly shifting oil and gas sourcing to Russia to fill the inevitable gaps. Now, we see the result; an energy lockdown to flatten the curve.
Yes, you ready that correctly. Flatten the curve is once again the cry coming from the ruling class. Just submit to adjusting your thermostat, turning off your lights and only charging your mandated electric vehicle during certain hours. It won’t last any longer than Wu-Flu lockdowns. You won’t be able to do anything the ruling class opposes, but you’ll be happy, to paraphrase Klaus Schwab, the real life Lex Luthor of our time. His agenda is perfectly capsulized in these 15 seconds of video, of course.
Europeans are now increasingly under the control of this man and an unelected ruling class and they want total control sooner rather than later, which brings us back to the ugly flatten the curve mantra. They now want to apply it to energy use because the “green energy” they’ve pursued for grifting purposes can’t deliver when needed, Putin has turned off the spigot on his end and the only solution left is to force Europeans (and now Californians and soon New Yorkers) to with less. So flatten the curve is back.
As hard as it believes as it is to believe, those actual words—perhaps the biggest lie ever told by our ruling class and their experts—are used again without any embarrassment by the so-called President of Europe only two years later, as if no one understood what a outrageous con job it was. Steyn gets at the underlying unsaid message conveyed by the ruling class with “flatten the curve” and its simply this: ‘we need to control you to perpetuate our rule.’ COVID was just the beginning, the first use of lockdowns to put us all under their control. And, its not just energy that’s the target; it’s also food and, much more basically, land. They want control of the land, want us to own none of it (or any other property) and demand we be happy.
They also want fewer of us. That’s why they keep pushing the idea of population control even as nation after nation is facing a demographic collapse. The idea that more people might just be more ideas and more progress is deeply offensive to them because it might also just lead to more demands for freedom and reduce their influence. They detest the thought there might be more of us and their every move is to exert more and more control over us. You know…”reduce the surplus population.” Indeed, Dickens got that part right, and today’s Scrooges couldn’t be more obvious.
Flatten the curve is a policy of despair, limits and negativism as applied to the common man. It is elitist at its core. That Europe has largely adopted it is no surprise and its energy crisis is no accident. The fact commoners will travel less, do less and eat less is, as the cliche goes, a feature, not a bug. Sadly, California and New York are emulating it.
It’s no accident either that two New York governors in a row (Cuomo and Hochul) have told large parts of their citizenry to just leave if they don’t like the policies of that degenerating urban state. Or, that California anf Illinois governors have essentially said the same. They’d happily do with fewer of us until, of course, they need the energy, the food and everything else we provide for them and realize it’s no longer happening. That crisis hasn’t yet arrived and so the policy now, to quote Steyn, is to simply flatten us.
