The Shale Gas News has grown again to the Williamsport area on stations WEJS 1600 AM & 104.1 FM. The Shale Gas News is now broadcasting in Bradford, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Luzerne, Lycoming, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga and Wayne Counties, as well as in greater central PA and now the Williamsport area. The Shale Gas News is aired on Saturday or Sunday depending on the station.

Pulitzer price-winning energy expert Daniel Yergin believes the new US administration will be hesitant to reduce domestic oil and gas production, despite President Joe Biden wasting no time in unleashing several green energy initiatives since taking office last month.
- U.S. Shale: Biden’s Drilling Ban Actually Undermines Emission Targets. The U.S. oil industry has a message to President Joe Biden’s recent climate executive orders involving the oil and gas sector—restricting America’s oil production would increase its reliance on foreign imports of oil with more emissions than the crude pumped from America’s oilfields. Over the past two weeks, President Biden rescinded the Presidential Permit for the Canada-U.S. cross-border oil pipeline Keystone XL and suspended permitting for new oil and gas drilling leases on federal lands and waters.
- The Biden administration needs an energy reality check. During the first week of his presidency, Joe Biden signed two significant executive orders to help burnish his environment bona fides. On day one, he revoked the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline and, a week later, he declared a one-year moratorium on new leases for oil and gas drilling and fracking on federal lands and waters.
- US oil and gas fears end of the line for big pipe projects. As a string of infrastructure projects hits the buffers, America’s oil and gas industry is facing up to an uncomfortable new reality: the era of building big new pipelines has probably come to an end. Joe Biden moved quickly last week to cancel the contentious Keystone XL oil pipeline, delivering on a campaign promise to curb emissions and put the clamps on the oil and gas industry’s growth.
- 2 oil groups merge, eye ‘lower-carbon future’ – Two oil and gas trade associations have announced they are merging to better represent oil field services and technology companies as the sector struggles to climb out of a pandemic-driven downturn.
- It’s time to build an Alaska natural gas pipeline. We’re on the cusp of a generational dream: construction of a gas line from our stranded gas fields in the North Slope to the road system in Alaska. As the world turns toward clean fuels like natural gas and renewables, this is Alaska’s time to think big. Over the years and across many administrations, Alaskans have discussed how to get our North Slope gas to market. Today, I’m happy to report that we are closer than ever to bringing this concept to fruition with a gas line between Point Thomson and Fairbanks.
