The Conferment Jubilee of the University of Helsinki commences on 20 March 2023 with the announcement of the University’s new honorary doctors. In the spring, the Faculty of Philosophy, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Law will celebrate the conferral of degrees.
As per tradition, the title of doctor honoris causa, the University’s highest recognition, will be awarded, in connection with the conferment ceremonies, to several individuals. This year, a total of 30 distinguished individuals from around the world will be conferred as honorary doctors…

The sheer asininity of such an Honorary Degree is obvious to all. It is yet another sign of the collapse of Western Civilization and the worthless nature of degrees from a politically correct educational establishment that is imploding faster than spending bullet. But, it’s even worse than that because Greta, at about the same time, deleted a 2018 Thunberg Tweet in which she had quoted a “top climate scientist” as saying that “climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.”
When the deletion was noticed and publicized, all the phony fact-checkers and press jumped to her defense to say she had never said the world was set to end in 2023, but, of course, she had said that it would be too late to stop the disaster is we didn’t end use of fossil fuels by now.
That hasn’t happened and she was smart enough to realize the mere existence of the Tweet meant would she would no longer be able to say “we are doomed unless” and that’s her shtick (as well as the unembarrassed U.N.’s), so she wisely deleted it. Sadly, the media is too politicized to even notice she had to change her position and that’s an even surer sign of civilizational collapse.

Yet Another Example of New York’s Hopeless Politics
New York and New England need much more natural gas pipeline capacity but under Governor Cuorruptocrat the former took every possible step it could to kill natural gas and natural gas pipelines, choosing instead to pursue the destined for failure Climate Act. And, of course, the state’s legislators are virtue signaling non-stop, rather than doing anything significant to change things. Here’s a perfect example:
Officials could soon have a better idea of the impact in the event of a pipeline disaster if new legislation clears the New York Assembly and gains the governor’s signature.
The Senate unanimously approved legislation, sponsored by New York State Sen. Pete Harckham, that requires the disclosure of insurance information on permit applications for the construction of pipelines traversing any freshwater wetlands in the state. The information, which the bill requires will be shared with relevant municipalities, includes the name of the insurance company covering the construction project, the amount of coverage and what is covered under the plan.
“The construction and placement of pipelines across the state’s freshwater wetlands are not without potential risks, and this legislation simply offers transparency in regard to liability,” Harckham said. “Having insurance information readily available, in case of an accident or an emergency, will give community members who are worried about the environment and public safety some deserved peace of mind.”
What? Municipalities don’t realize pipeline companies have insurance? This perfectly ridiculous premise and the unanimous vote indicate how completely shallow this political maneuver really is. It is meaningless, just a word salad delivered up for consumption by natural gas opponents mentioned later in the article. They’ll use it, of course, to say nature gas pipelines are dangerous because the companies who build them are required to have insurance for damage to wetlands. This is all so typical of New York where everything political is a ruse and the only thing that gets done is what isn’t allowed to proceed. Meanwhile, energy prices escalate, natural gas shortages become commonplace and people keep leaving the state.

The Rockefeller Attack on Oil, Natural Gas and Banks
The idea that the Rockefeller family is leading opposition to oil, natural gas and banks seems foreign to naive folks still living in the dark ages of Standard Oil references. Those who have paid attention in recent years, though, understand the central role of the family in attacking everything oil and natural gas, unless it’s in China, of course. It’s also important to understand these sorts of attacks are simply corporatist moves to direct more power and money to Rockefeller types, through the climate scam, among others. Bearing this in mind read what the Sierra Club (funded by the same elitists) says about coal, oil and natural gas:
Climate activists in over 100 cities held boisterous rallies in front of banks Tuesday to demand that top US lenders stop financing the expansion of the fossil fuel sector. Led by Third Act, a climate advocacy group for Americans aged 60 and older, protesters sang songs and cut up their credit cards to send a message to big banks that it’s time to, in their words, “stop funding fossil fuels.”
Since 2016, the world’s largest banks have invested a combined $4.6 trillion in the fossil fuel sector, which has allowed coal, oil, and gas companies to build new fossil fuel infrastructure, according to an analysis titled Banking on Climate Chaos, prepared by Rainforest Action Network, Oil Change International, and other groups. These investments threaten the rapid transition away from fossil fuels that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says is necessary for a livable future. At the nationwide protests, customers of the largest US banks threatened to take their business elsewhere if the lenders continue to invest in fossil fuels.
Now, note what this all about. The reference to the Third Act group is a good tipoff as to the truth. Click the link and the “About” and “Donate” page links within and you learn Bill McKibben is a founder and the Sustainable Markets Foundation is the source of funding. Both are purely Rockefeller entities. So any suggestion this group is just a caring group of seniors is utter nonsense. It’s just more of the same bullying from the same elites who want to project some sort of consensus that oil and natural gas have to go (unless you’re China) and that the climate scam must come so they can further enrich themselves with additional money and power. Consensus, as Michael Chricton accurately stated is always the “refuge of scoundrels” and feigned consensus especially so.

Government Is the Great Misinformer!
Both the U.S. government and the United Nations are campaigning against misinformation as they dispense ever more of it, with one baseless doomsday warning after another in a fruitless attempt to force everyone into their false consensus.
The United States government’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), within the Department of Homeland Security, is raising the alarm about the threat of “foreign influence” that is “leveraging misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation.” CISA defines “malinformation” as information “based on fact, but used out of context to mislead, harm, or manipulate.”
…And yet CISA is failing to do its job when censoring malinformation, misinformation, and disinformation about climate change, including by “threat actors,” often funded or employed by foreign governments. A Google survey of over 2,300 people conducted last year by the nonpartisan research organization Environmental Progress, which I founded and lead, found that 53% of people surveyed in the U.S. agree with the false statement, “Climate change is making hurricanes more frequent,” while 46% agree with the false statement, “Climate change threatens human extinction.”
…[I]t’s notable that the censorship-industrial complex has shown no interest in censoring climate misinformation that has led people to believe that climate change is making hurricanes more frequent and threatening human extinction. “An example of malinformation is editing a video to remove important context to harm or mislead,” writes CISA. And yet that is precisely what foreign disinformation threat actors like Greta Thunberg, her allies at the German government-funded Potsdam Institute, and even the U.N.’s own Secretary-General Antonio Guterres routinely do when they share videos of people in poor countries suffering from flooding, which is a direct result of lack of flood management infrastructure, not slightly more precipitation from climate change.
Moreover, the censorship-industrial complex has sought to censor accurate information about climate change and energy. Last June, former Biden Administration Climate Advisor Gina McCarthy demanded censorship of those who criticized the failure of weather-dependent renewables during the blackouts in Texas in February 2021, even though such criticisms were factual…
The U.N. continues to wage its disinformation campaign against the people of the world, as today’s headlines about its new report show. “‘The climate time-bomb is ticking,’” reads the CNN headline. “Scientists release ‘survival guide’ to avert climate disaster,” says BBC. “Earth to hit critical warming threshold by early 2030s, climate panel says.” The U.N. most journalists are implying that scientists have determined that a temperature increase beyond 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels would be catastrophic.
The U.N. report is malinformation. The supposed 1.5-degree “threshold” is political, not scientific, as Pielke and others have shown. Global warming causes incrementally greater risk. Temperatures are expected to rise less than most thought as recently as 10 years ago, thanks to abundant natural gas. And humankind’s physical security is assured, given our success at adapting to more extreme weather and producing more food on less land.
Amen! Everything emanating from the climate cult is nonsense—the 1.5º threshold, the “CO2 is a pollutant” lie, the full electrification goal, “clean” energy—all of it. It is a scheme to force power up the ladder and money into the pockets of the schemers. Michael Shellenberger is leading by truth-telling. Those to whom his ire is directed are the same sort of people who pushed the falsehood that ulcers were caused by acids and stress until Barry Marshall said the emperor has no clothes, who said COVID couldn’t have come from a lab leak, who advanced eugenics and lobotomies and, today, are promoting suicide in Canada. Man tends too frequently tends to madness without truth-tellers.
