Wind Turbines Don’t Last Forever!

Yes, they have to be replaced when they’re no longer efficient and they produce massive waste. They’re neither as green nor as renewable as their advocates would have us believe.

Green Grifter Puppet Biden Acts to Deliver the Goods!

Joe Biden does exactly what he’s told by the green grifters and radicals who put the boob out front so they could direct him to kill oil and gas and funnel ratepayer and taxpayer money to the grifters:

President Biden today issued presidential determinations providing the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) with the authority to utilize the Defense Production Act (DPA) to accelerate domestic production of five key energy technologies: (1) solar; (2) transformers and electric grid components; (3) heat pumps; (4) insulation; and (5) electrolyzers, fuel cells, and platinum group metals. The DPA determinations are part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s plan to lower energy costs for families, strengthen national security, and achieve lasting American energy independence that reduces demand for fossil fuels and bolsters our clean energy economy.

“President Biden has invoked the Defense Production Act so that the U.S. can take ownership of its clean energy independence,” said U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm. “For too long the nation’s clean energy supply chain has been over-reliant on foreign sources and adversarial nations. With the new DPA authority, DOE can help strengthen domestic solar, heat pump and grid manufacturing industries while fortifying America’s economic security and creating good-paying jobs, and lowering utility costs along the way.”

“Reducing America’s dependence on gas and oil is critical to U.S. national security,” said Deputy Secretary of Defense Dr. Kathleen Hicks. “In conflict, fossil fuel supply lines are especially vulnerable. The actions President Biden announced today will help strengthen our supply chains and ensure that the United States is a leader in producing the energy technologies that are essential to our future success. They will also help accelerate DoD’s transition toward clean energy technologies that can help strengthen military capability while creating good jobs for American workers.”

What a pile of disingenuous deep do-do this new release truly is. Reducing use of oil and gas to rely upon undependable, undispatchable solar panels is insane. Even more insane is the fact that this government news release doesn’t a key part of the story found here:

The Biden administration announced Monday that it would waive tariffs on solar panels imported to the United States from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam for 24 months, reducing uncertainty for the U.S. solar energy companies that had been spooked by a Commerce Department investigation launched in March.

Notice China gets no mention in either story and neither does the fact the Biden program actually increases dependence on foreign suppliers by dropping those tariffs. It also opens the door for China, which clearly has Biden completely under its control because of the special deals his family got from the evil communists.

A Pipeline to Celebrate and That Biden Can’t Cancel

The very name is fascinating and it was critical to our success in defeating Hitler:

Operation Pluto (Pipe Line Under The Ocean) is one of the greatest engineering feats of the war. Huge pipelines were successfully fabricated and laid under the Channel between southern England and France. This allowed fuel to be transported safely to the troops in Europe. The pipelines contributed much to the success of Allied operations.

The P.L.U.T.O. (Pipe-Lines Under The Ocean) program was conceived in 1942 by British engineers to meet the fuel needs of the armed forces after an amphibious operation. As early as 1942, preparations were therefore made to lay pipelines under the Channel between southern England and France. After secret and successful trials in Medway and Scotland, two pipelines were laid in the summer of 1944, from Shanklin on the Isle of Wight to Port-en-Bessin and from Dungeness to Ambleteuse.

In Dungeness, short sections of pipe were supplied by rail. There they were connected together and wrapped around huge reels (ConunDrum). Subsequently, the pipeline was laid in the ocean by tugs. To counter the threat of enemy attacks, gas stations were camouflaged as ordinary buildings. Some of these buildings – ice cream parlors, garages and bungalows – still exist, such as Pluto House in Dungeness. After the first teething troubles, the pipeline supplied about 4 million liters of fuel per day. By the end of the war, nearly 700 million liters had been delivered to France – a remarkable feat of engineering that is believed to be key to the successful invasion of Europe after D-Day.

This particular pipeline no longer exists but there are numerous other pipeline connections between the UK and the continent, of course, and today one can stay at a guesthouse in Dungeness that once housed one of the PLUTO pumping stations.
