Readers pass along a lot of stuff every week about natural gas, fractivist antics, emissions, renewables, and other news relating to energy. This week; green grifting, plans to control every breath you take and Biden’s natural gas stove hate.

Look for these stories below, including links to the original articles!

Talk About Green Grifting!

If you thought Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act was anything but a budget busting, inflation incentivizing, corporatist con and gigantic green grift, read this:

EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund will include a nearly $20 billion General and Low-Income Assistance Competition to award competitive grants to eligible nonprofit entities that will collaborate with community financing institutions like green banks, community development financial institutions, credit unions, housing finance agencies and others.

Together, these entities will leverage public dollars with private capital to invest in projects that reduce pollution and lower energy costs for families, particularly those in the low-income and disadvantaged communities that have had unequal access to private capital for far too long.

Awardees will also facilitate technical assistance and capacity building to strengthen the community-based organizations, small businesses, workers, and suppliers required to accelerate the transition to an equitable net-zero economy and catalyze the jobs of the future. EPA expects to make between 2 and 15 grants under this competition.

So, $20 billion for as few as two entities, using money we don’t have and borrowed from Communist China. The corporatist thefts will keep going on until they no longer can and our economy goes down in flames like never before. Beer will become a luxury as the boondoggles collapse, although the ruling class that created them will be nowhere to be found because they’re luxuriating on some beach, somewhere..

They Want Our Cars, Our Homes, Our Lives As Their Serfs

It’s California, of course, where all bad ideas originate, but these folks aren’t just against oil and natural gas. No, their dream is much, much bigger; to absolutely control every breath we take:

A consortium of California university professors and the Climate Community project say that more EVs alone will not solve the climate crisis. They are coming after your car.

“If today’s conditions are projected to 2050, US EV demand for lithium alone would require triple the amount of lithium produced today for the global market.”

“This report finds that the United States can achieve zero-emissions transportation while limiting the amount of lithium mining necessary by reducing the car dependence of the transportation system, decreasing the size of EV batteries, and maximizing lithium recycling.”

“Increasing mass and active transit as well as keeping passenger vehicles smaller makes for safer communities. Reducing the size of passenger vehicles also can make the roads far safer because smaller cars have fewer and less severe crashes. Making bus routes, metros, and electric bikes faster, safer, and more convenient will disproportionately support low-income and non-white community members—who are more likely to live near high traffic areas and bear the environmental health burdens of relatively poorer air quality compared to higher-income and white counterparts.”

“The Climate and Community Project’s 2022 report, “A Green New Deal for Transportation,” outlined just such a vision for a green, environmentally just mobility network, with specific recommendations for public policy and programs to transform the US transportation sector.”

“Ultimately, climate, transit, and Indigenous justice can be aligned.  Our findings show that reducing dependence on private vehicles, densifying low-density suburbs while allowing more people to live in existing high-density urban spaces, and improving EV efficiency and reducing battery sizes are the most effective pathways to reducing future lithium demand.”

This how the intellectual class of today thinks. No appeal to loftier principles, no philosophy, no grasp of the fact they are being used by the grubby grifters who seek to make trillions in greenbacks using them as shills in a very dirty game.

Biden Puppetmasters Ignore Public Opinion
and Bull Ahead with Natural Gas Stove Ban

Remember when, a few months, when Joe Biden’s controllers put out a feeler about a natural gas stove ban, got tremendous negative feedback and then, supposedly, pulled it back saying it was a mistake? Well…

Half of gas stove models sold in the United States today won’t comply with a first-ever efficiency regulation on cooking appliances, according to a new analysis from the Department of Energy.

The projection, which DOE posted online two weeks after the rule’s release Jan. 31, aims to provide more clarification on the expected impact of a proposal earlier this month that is now receiving comments from the public (Energywire, Feb. 1).

DOE says the cooking regulation will preserve some market share for gas stoves that have at least one high-input rate burner and continuous cast iron grates, two features that DOE determined are priorities for the public. Both features use a lot of energy.

This is the corrupt lying Biden Administration and, make no mistake, they hate natural gas and want no U.S. citizens to have access to it. If you’re a trade union member and still voting for these people you’re cutting your own throat. It’s that simple.
