Indevco Plastics Inc. Indevco Plastics Inc. makes stretch hood film for pallet wraps as well as other polyethylene films.
Longview, Texas — Flexible packaging producer Indevco Plastics Inc. will invest $9.5 million and add 18 jobs at its extrusion plant in Longview over the next three years.
The subsidiary of the Ajaltoun, Lebanon-based Indevco Group recently received a $400,000 performance grant for its expansion plan from the Longview Economic Development Corp. (LEDCO).
The Lebanese industrial conglomerate opened a facility in Longview in 2015 with plans for a $13 million investment at the site, which previously was a Bemis Co. Inc. polyethylene film plant. Indevco makes plastic film used to ship resin, as well as PE roll stock, stretch hood film, and shrink collation for agricultural, beverage, food, personal care, and other markets.
When Indevco first opened in Texas, LEDCO had approved incentive payments up to $650,000. Then, in 2017, Indevco announced it was boosting its total investment to $20 million at the plant, which then had about 60 employees.
After the latest grant was announced, Indevco Plastics General Manager Wayne Mashe told the local press, “Indevco definitely made the right decision in opening a manufacturing facility in Longview.”
Indevco Group employs about 10,000 in the United States, Middle East, Africa and Europe.
