Bidenistas Plan to Destroy Oil and Gas Industry As API Dozes

[Editor’s Note: The Bidenistas controlling the movements of our puppet President aim to obliterate the oil and gas industry as the API tries making nice to its wannabe killers.]
The Bidenistas on Wednesday held a summit at The White House aimed at addressing the “planet-warming gas methane” and launched a new Cabinet-level task force (that we have dubbed the Climate Gestapo) dedicated to the issue. The bash-fossil energy confab curiously did not include any representatives from the sector that supposedly is causing all the trouble–oil and gas–which points out this wasn’t an actual effort to address the fugitive methane issue but instead was a political ploy aimed at fundraising for the Democrat Party.
The White House said its new Climate Gestapo (i.e., task force) will seek to “accelerate” plans to reduce emissions and “advance a whole-of-government approach to proactive methane leak detection and data transparency, and support state and local efforts to mitigate and enforce methane emissions regulations.”
The Bidenistas refused to specify what, exactly, this Climate Gestapo will do or who is on it. The only description of the task force is that it is “cabinet-level.”
The attendees bashed the oil and gas industry, which has been lowering methane levels yearly for over a decade. Nobody at the confab brought up the fact that oil and gas are responsible, according to the United Nations, for a small part (21%) of the fugitive methane found in Mom Earth’s atmosphere. Attendees didn’t want to talk about the other 79% causing this massive, “critical” issue of “methane pollution.”
It seems to us the Bidenistas might want to address the #1 emitter of fugitive methane that contributes 40% of all fugitive methane–Mom Earth herself (natural causes). Or maybe even consider the #2 source of fugitive methane emissions–agriculture. Pigs and cows and chickens that fart and poop and burp are responsible for 24% of all fugitive methane found in the atmosphere. But nope, no mention of those sources. Just oil and gas came under fire by the Bidenistas, because it’s hard to demonize Mom Earth and agriculture the way you can demonize Big Oil.

The Biden administration on Wednesday launched a Cabinet-level task force that will corral federal agencies to use technology to detect leaks of the potent greenhouse gas methane and help federal and local officials enforce methane regulations.
The task force was launched at the same the White House is holding its first methane summit, which is gathering federal, state, tribal and local leaders involved in programs targeting methane emissions, as well as companies that have developed methane detection technology like optical gas imaging cameras and satellites.
Although short-lived compared with carbon dioxide, methane is 80 times more potent and is responsible for nearly a third of planetary warming so far, making it a target for policy-makers seeking to combat climate change.
And as the main component of natural gas, methane that escapes from pipes, compressors and other technology wastes billions of dollars.
“Today, the Biden administration is turbocharging our efforts to cut wasteful and harmful methane leaks, by harnessing innovative technologies and enlisting skilled workers in this urgent task,” National Climate Advisor Ali Zaidi said in a statement.
A new report by the Blue Green Alliance said that the raft of new methane reduction policies launched by the Biden administration could create a net 10,000 direct and indirect jobs annually.
In addition to proposals to target methane emitted from the oil and gas sector by the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Energy is working with gas importing and exporting countries to develop an approach to measurement, monitoring, reporting and verification of emissions.
Companies participating in Wednesday’s summit include Honeywell, Teledyne, GHGSat and CarbonMapper.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) and the Energy Workforce & Technology Council released statements after the Biden Administration failed to include representatives from the natural gas and oil industry in today’s White House Methane Summit.
“Tackling a challenge of this scale requires not just will and words, but action. We are disappointed that the industries driving the most reductions in methane emissions, including the natural gas and oil industry, were not included. API’s members are investing in advanced technology to detect and mitigate emissions, and thanks to industry action, average methane emissions intensity declined by nearly 66% across all seven major producing regions from 2011 to 2021. We continue to work with the administration to build on this progress,” said API President and CEO Mike Sommers.
API supports efforts to advance cleaner fuels, as outlined in the Climate Action Framework. Programs like The Environmental Partnership, whose members make up more than 70% of the U.S. onshore natural gas and oil industry, are helping to ensure this progress continues.
Energy Workforce & Technology Council Tim Tarpley said, ““President Biden is hosting a summit to discuss how to mitigate methane emissions. However, he is excluding the very people at the forefront of developing the technologies that are reducing emissions while meeting global energy demand. It is frustrating that the White House would exclude the industry when it would be beneficial to them and the American people if they would bring to the table and listen to the very people, innovators, that have the experience and history of producing methane emissions reducing technologies.”
Editor’s Note: Can you imagine a weaker statement than the one issued by this worthless API today? The Bidenistas essentially announce they want to destroy you and your response is to say you’re frustrated and that you’ll continue to work with your wanna-be killers who deliberately excluded you from their meeting so they could plan how they’d do it? What PR crap! The API under Mike Sommers’ leadership might as well be on the other side. Perhaps it is.
