Andrew Cuomo has from the very beginning been one America’s worst governors but now he’s proven to be the absolute worst, the bottom feeder.
Some just released data from the Census Bureau confirms it; Andrew Cuomo, Governor Cuorruptocrat, is, by any definition, the absolute worst governor in the United States. He is only surviving as a bottom feeder, sucking up dirt to spit out anyone in sight as a way to deflect from his outrageously bad leadership.
There are so many examples of Andrew Cuomo, in his mad pursuit of a title as the King of Progressivism and Political Correctness, it’s truly hard to sort them. His Buffalo Billion scandal, his killing of fracking, his pipeline obstructionism, his blackmailing of National Grid, his forcing of Chinese plague patients into nursing homes, his denial of doing so; the list extends beyond the horizon. His ability to evade responsibility, though, often seems likewise endless, but facts are, as they say, very stubborn, even obstinate, things. And, facts are working against him.
The latest facts, indeed, speak to a harsh reality Andrew Cuomo created for Upstate New York with his denial of fracking and pipelines and which now, thanks to his abysmal flailing mismanagement of the plague from beginning to end. First, he tried to pretend it was all a part of racism toward Chinese people, then he kept the subways running, then he forced the plague into nursing homes and then he put the state into a lockdown which he’s never lifted for much of it. The last part has been particularly hard on the one region of New York he hadn’t already damaged; New York City. Now, it, too, feels the pain upstaters have felt for a decade and residents are leaving in droves. Barry Diller says it’s dead, just like much of Upstate.
It’s best not to wallow in schadenfreude, though; New York City’s decline may only force more problems on Upstate as taxpayers statewide are, once agin, asked to bear the burden and a recent report from the Census Bureau shows us how big a hole Andrew Cuomo has dug for the state. It has to do with retail sales and it’s explained in the following chart from the Bureau:
Notice there is but one state in negative territory for retail sales in June, 2020, compared to a year earlier. That state is New York, the deteriorating empire of a false god in the person of Andrew Cuomo. He is slowly but surely consigning the Empire State to the status of the Ephemeral State. A combination of horrid but politically correct (for a while) policies has deprived much of Upstate of any realistic economic opportunities while literally closing down New York City and refusing to let it open. While the U.S. as a whole was gaining 4% in retail sales, New York was losing 5.2%. Notice, too, that New York was losing before the Chinese plague hit.
