Best Places to Work list announced for 2021

Sixteen companies have been named to the Plastics News Best Places to Work list for 2021. The winner will be announced March 17 at the virtual PN Executive Forum event.

The eighth annual survey and awards program has split the companies into two categories: processors and suppliers. “This enables us to recognize more firms. It is a result of our Best Places to Work in Plastics becoming a major annual award in the North American plastics industry,” said PN Editor Don Loepp.

The 2021 Best Places to Work, in alphabetical order, are as follows:

Processors:

• Diversified Plastics Inc. of Minneapolis.

• Dymotek Corp. of Ellington, Conn.

• Plastic Components Inc. of Germantown, Wis.

• MTD Micro Molding of Charlton, Mass.

• Redline Plastics of Manitowoc, Wis.

• Team 1 Plastics of Albion, Mich.

Suppliers:

• ALPS Inspection of Oak Creek, Wis.

• Asahi Kasei Asaclean Americas of Parsippany, N.J.

• ePlastics of San Diego

• KI Industries of Berkeley, Ill.

• M. Holland Co. of Northbrook, Ill.

• PolySource of Independence, Mo.

• Osterman & Co. Inc. of Cheshire, Conn.

• Techmer PM of Clinton, Tenn.

• US Extruders of Westerly, R.I.

• West Michigan Compounding of Greenville, Mich.

The annual Best Places to Work list is managed by Best Companies Group, a Harrisburg, Pa.-based independent research firm that specializes in identifying exceptional places to work.

To be considered for the annual list, companies must be a publicly or privately held business with a facility in the United States or Canada, have a minimum of 15 employees working in the U.S. and/or Canada, must be in business for one year and must derive at least 50 percent of revenue from plastics-related operations.

The Best Places to Work process includes an employee engagement survey, which measures employees’ passion, commitment and satisfaction toward their job. After completing the survey process, participating companies have the option to receive a report that includes feedback for each survey question, employee comments and aggregate benchmarks.

Among all employers that made the Best Places to Work list, 91 percent of employees said they believe their organization treats them like a person, not a number. In the same benchmark, 93 percent said they are proud to work for their organization and 95 percent said they are “very satisfied” with their employer.

Registration for the PN Executive Forum is still open. More information can be found here.
