Oil and gas production in the Utica and Marcellus shale plays is expected to decrease next month, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
Natural gas production is projected to drop by 118 million cubic feet per day, according to The Youngstown Business Journal. Output in January averaged 33.955 billion cubic feet per day, while February is projected to see a reduction of 33.837 billion cubic feet per day.
Appalachia is likely to drop oil production by 1,000 barrels per day, from 125,000 barrels in January to 124,000 barrels in February, according to EIA estimates.
