The U.S. oil and natural gas rig count increased by one rig to 457 during the week ended Feb. 10, according to Enverus. However, growth slowed from double-digit increases during the previous two weeks.
The week’s single net rig was added on the oil side as oil rigs reached 338. Natural gas rigs decreased by two to 119.
Prior to the most recent week, the rig count had increased by double digits in four of the past nine weeks, growing by 26 over the previous two weeks. Nationwide rig totals have risen 64% since the early July low of 279, according to Enverus.
