Petrobras to sell onshore fields

Brazilian multinational corporation Petrobras Monday launched the sale of two sets of onshore concessions, Kallanish Energy learns.

The concessions are located in the northeastern state of Bahia, where Petrobras is operator and fully owns all but two concessions. The deadline for applications is Jun. 24.

The Recôncavo Cluster is comprised of 14 onshore fields, which last year recorded average production 2,800 barrels per day (Bpd) of oil, and 20.7 million cubic feet per day (Mmcf/d) of gas.

The Rio Ventura Cluster has eight onshore fields, with a total average production 1,500 Bpd of oil and 1.5 Mmcf/d of gas.

The company announced in Q1 results shared last month it initiated a “transformational agenda” to invest into valuable projects such as the pre-salt Santos Basin. Total divestments in the first quarter were a record $11.3 billion.
