Ohio issued 10 new shale drilling permits during the week ended Oct. 3 — an increase from typical permitting activity, according to Marcellus Drilling News.
Antero Resources received six drilling permits for wells in Nobel County. Gulfport Resources received four drilling permits all for the same well pad in Jefferson County.
Pennsylvania issued eight drilling permits and West Virginia issued one new drilling permit during the same time period.
