I thought it might be fun and illuminating to look back 100 years ago at what was happening with natural gas. It is eye opening, given all we’ve learned over the last century. Sounds a little like my childhood at the one-room school I attended for five and one-has years, although we would swing from grapevines in the nearby woods, and the only fire we started was when we burned the wastepaper outside and it jumped the rim of the fire pit and ignited the lawn:

Putting things in perspective, in fact, Pennsylvania produces roughly 7-8 trillion cubic feet of natural gas annually and more than a fifth of that comes from Susquehanna County alone, ground zero for the shale revolution.

The Carnegie Natural Gas Company was, at the same time, finding natural gas and oil from a well in Lewis County, West Virginia.

The Carnegie natural Gas Company later became part of Equitable Resources, now EQT, otherwise known as Toby Rice’s empire.
It Would Be Terrible As Europeans Are Learning Today
Yes, Europeans, as a result of their stubborn arrogance and political correctness, are learning just how terrible a loss of natural gas really is, as they reckon with the disaster they wrought by foolish pursuit of the Energiewende and copycat schemes.
