Hello, 2022! Americhem releases next year’s color trends

The calendar may have just flipped to 2021, but materials maker Americhem Inc. already has released its 2022 Color Trends.

Officials with Americhem in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, said in a Jan. 26 news release that the 2022 color trend palette is based on a theme of Starved Senses & Fearless Futures. They added that the title “so deeply depicts what we have all gone through and what we hope for.”

Four stories go along with this theme: essentials, refocus, “technovation” and reconnection. The colors in this palette “bring us back to the basics with colors that represent the natural elements of life,” officials said.

Americhem’s 2022 Color Trends “take you through a journey that starts with a look back on what is now global history and brings us full circle to the beautiful element of reconnection,” global branding and digital marketing leader Hailey Cassidy said in the release.

She added that the colors are inspired by a wide variety of life moments from being quarantined in our homes. all the way to traveling and sharing embraces once again.

“We’ve taken the time to think deeply about each one of the colors and how it would translate into our current and potential customers’ end applications,” Cassidy said. “There are colors in our trend report that can paired with everything from automotive interiors to lifesaving medical devices.”

Americhem produces a broad range of concentrates, compounds and additives at 12 sites worldwide. The firm is one of North America’s 30 largest compounders and concentrate makers, according to Plastics News data.
