Earlier this month, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s public release of an Environmental Assessment for the Buckeye Xpress Project commenced a 30-day comment period, according to a press release from the USDA Forest Service.
Columbia Gas’ proposed project involves 66.1 miles of 36-inch diameter natural gas pipeline in southeast Ohio, which would replace and expand existing pipelines and related facilities in parts of Vinton, Lawrence, Gallia and Jackson counties in Ohio. It includes approximately 12.6 miles of pipeline construction and approximately 10.2 miles of pipeline decommissioning in the Wayne National Forest Ironton Ranger District.
