Parkersburg, W. Va. — Twenty months after opening a 75,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Swainsboro, Ga., Wincore Window Co. LLC plans to more than double in size in the city to meet a sharp increase in demand from the home remodeling and building markets.
The Parkersburg-based company will invest $5 million into a 100,000-square-foot facility adjacent to its current site and hire another 100 people, bringing its total to 271 employees and bumping it up to be the fourth largest employer in Emanuel County.
The new positions will include inventory specialists, loaders, quality technicians, maintenance personnel and production workers.
The expansion was announced in a news release from Gov. Brian Kemp.
“As Wincore expands their operations in Swainsboro, I know the opportunities created by this fantastic project will be welcome news for hardworking Georgians in Emanuel County and the surrounding region,” Kemp said in the release.
Wincore’s product lines include retrofit and new construction vinyl windows and sliding patio doors, decorative glass fiberglass entry systems, impact-resistant vinyl windows and sliding patio doors, and fiberglass entry systems specifically designed for coastal areas.
