The longtime managing director of French robot maker Sepro Group, Jean-Michel Renaudeau, has left the company as of May 15.
Sepro, based in La Roche-sur-Yon, France, announced the news June 3. Renaudeau had worked at Sepro for 29 years, and had been managing director since 2005, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Sepro Group President Eric Radat commended Renaudeau for his work in building strategic alliances with injection molding press manufacturers and other robot companies.
However, Radat explained in the news release: “We want to give a fresh boost to Sepro Group. We must go even further and be more efficient, especially as we contend with the current downturn in the automotive industry, Sepro’s largest end market.”
The release says, in an unattributed comment: “Sepro Group will now enter a new phase in its history, centered on strengthened efficiency and re-energized operations.”
Radat named Michel Maire as interim manager, while the organization seeks a successor to Renaudeau.
“During this transition, Sepro remains committed to satisfying our customers and business partners,” he said. “Existing relationships and contacts will stay the same, and we will provide additional information at a later date.”
Renaudeau could not be reached for comment.
